Nashville HVAC FAQs

Q?Company Values: What is, or would you like, Innovative HVAC to be KNOWN for?
A.

Reliability, accountability, real problem solving, real good guys, neatness, fairness in pricing and all dealings, here for our customers, dependable, with references to other good trades to serve our customers well.

Q?Company Mission: What is the PURPOSE of Innovative HVAC?
A.

To have a small controllable HVAC service/addon/replacement company with the BEST people available, servicing customers who care and know the difference.

Q?Company Focus: Who is your target audience? What sort of customers do you primarily serve?
A.

Residential existing homes is the bulk of our business. We don’t do any new constrution, except when working for our remodeling contractors who mainly do addons and additions. We also service a number of small commercial facilities, though residential HVAC service is the primary focus of our company.

Q?Company Services: Are there some specific services that you would like to tell us about?
A.

Service calls, maintenance, solving comfort issues, change outs, upgrades to high effeciency units, replacing duct systems, and adding zoning controls for improved comfort. We handle a lot of special needs, where creative solutions are needed to serve the home and the customers most effeciently and effectively. A lot of our business involves providing cutom residential heating and cooling solutions in homes that have historicaly had problems or challenges, that have compromised the overall comfort and air quality of the home. Comfort, efficiency, reliability, and performance are some of the benchmarks that are most important to us while serving our customers.

Q?Preferred Systems: What types of equipment do you install most and WHY?
A.

We love the Carrier Infinity systems, Infinity zone systems, the Carrier Infinity Greenspeed heat pump system with the highest heating efficiency in it’s class.  We love the Bosch Geothermal systems! In this business it’s hard to beat the excitement of watching a drilling rig sink a 300’ deep loop (heat exchanger) into the earth and later when you’re starting up a new Bosch geothermal system and seeing the highly efficient heat exchange that takes place between the air from the residence and earth loop! Absolutely the most efficient system. Plus the 30% tax credit can make the cost comparable to purchasing a standard (air to air) heat pump. We install a lot of York Affinity heat pumps, a fully American Made product that provides a great high-efficiency system for a really reasonable cost. The Honeywell zoning systems are a real problem solver for comfort issues when different areas have different heating and cooling demands. We’ve added Honeywell zoning to 15 year old systems and solved problems that customers thought they were just stuck with.

Q?Service Area: How far out does your service area extend to?
A.

We spend the bulk of our time on the South-West side of Nashville, as that is where a lot of our customers live, but we service most of Metro Nashville and surrounding areas that include: Brentwood, Franklin, Bellevue, Kingston Springs, Mt. Juliet, Goodlettsville, and Hendersonville.

Q?Service Costs: What does Innovative HVAC charge for a service call?
A.

Our diagnostic charge is $79.00. For that we show up and do a thorough diagnostic of your system to find the source of the problem you are having. Once found you are given the cost of repair from our flat-rate pricing. Our diagnostic is good for 30 days. Let’s say we find a defective contactor and replace it and all is fine and two weeks later you have a ‘no cool’ and we find you now have a defective capacitor. You would not be charged another diagnostic, only the charge for replacing the capacitor.

Q?Maintenance Costs: What does Innovative HVAC charge for a tune up? (Semi-annual HVAC maintenance.)
A.

We usually call it “Fall Maintenance” or “Spring Maintenance”, but of course it can be done at any time of the year. For most of our customers, we perform maintenance in the spring and fall. We charge $70.00 for the first system and $60.00 for each additional system, for each maintenance visit. So a Fall Maintenance for two systems would cost $130.00.
